Datahub is a solution that allows abstracting data from communications, enabling applications to have the required process data and, at the same time, minimizing incoming and outgoing communications from process networks. Therefore, the exposure of these networks is minimized and the associated cybersecurity risks are reduced.

Connect to Virtually any MQTT IoT Service

DataHub facilitates the connection of an OPC system to virtually any MES system, device cloud, or Big Data analysis platform via MQTT. It comes pre-configured for Azure IoT Hub, Google IoT, and Amazon IoT Core, but for any other MQTT service, the JSON data can be customized so that DataHub can adapt to the format required by the MQTT broker.

DataHub IoT Gateway is compatible with MQTT version 3.1.1, including publish and subscribe methods, as well as last will, testament, and quality of service message delivery. It also includes the following benefits:

• Eliminates cache latency and obsolete data, so that: a server that does not respond or has difficulties does not slow down the rest of the connections.

Securely Send Plant Data to the Cloud

The MQTT publish/subscribe protocol establishes a secure outgoing connection to the IoT cloud service. It is not necessary to open any firewall ports or a VPN. DataHub IoT Gateway also supports Transport Layer Security (TLS), certificate-based authentication, and username/password authentication.

Integrate OPC Data in Real Time

Leverage OPC UA, the leading data protocol of Industry 4.0 and IIoT, through a secure real-time connection that maintains the OPC data model (which other gateways/servers flatten). DataHub offers both client and server interfaces for OPC UA and DA, performing protocol conversions transparently. The complete data hierarchy of the OPC UA server is faithfully represented in both OPC DA/UA clients or in MQTT.

Move Data to/from Databases and Historization Solutions

Move your data from or to a historian solution or database in a compact and easily accessible format. Analyze or display your data using any of the analytical, reporting, or graphing tools available for the historian, as well as OPC UA HDA clients.

Historical Data Tunneling

DataHub’s Tunnel/Mirror function transmits data securely, even through proxy servers and DMZs. Built-in storage and forwarding ensures that no data is lost during network irregularities. No VPN, no open incoming firewall ports.

Store and Forward for Connections to the Cloud

Connections to Amazon Kinesis, Azure IoT Hub, Amazon IoT Core, Google IoT and other MQTT agents now include built-in storage and forwarding using InfluxDB history. Local data storage ensures that no data is lost during network irregularities. You get the reliability of local historical data visibility and store and forward with a single configuration.
