Much has been written, is being written, and is spoken daily about Smart Cities… perhaps excessively. Rarely is there a day when somewhere in the wide world there isn’t some event, conference, or seminar that convenes various people and entities to debate, discuss, or give credence to theories, schools of thought, or new ideas related to smart cities, the internet of things, or big data… Something surely necessary up to this point, but having reached this point, we are entering a phase in which concrete proposals are what must generate the flow of information; otherwise, there is a risk of entering a loop of sterile debates that lead nowhere.
What’s new, old?
For Logitek, from the Creating Smart Cities Area, attending the Smart City Expo World Congress for the fourth time is like visiting an old friend we want to treat. How? Without a doubt, with concrete proposals and examples of projects done in this area: integral management of the water cycle in the city, sensorization of public works, integral management of services and infrastructures at the neighborhood level, management of airport infrastructures, energy efficiency management in buildings… among many other cases will be the basis of our presence at SCEWC 2015, the ideal scenario to present our Smart City solution.
