What Wonderware products make up our reference architecture for Industry 4.0?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In the previous article<\/a>, we presented our reference architecture to facilitate the digital transformation of the industrial sector<\/strong>, an architecture organized around 6 layers, from sensors and control to application and integration.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

In this article, we delve into the mapping of Wonderware products<\/strong> that make up this reference architecture for Industry 4.0.<\/p>\n

If we observe layers 1 and 2, \u201cSensors and control\u201d and \u201cConcentration and Conversion\u201d<\/strong> respectively, Wonderware<\/strong> provides connectivity and capabilities to concentrate data in real time with solutions such as InTouch Machine Edition<\/a>, Local Historian<\/a>, InTouch View or InTouch<\/a><\/strong>. Scalable, flexible and easy to deploy and maintain technologies. <\/span><\/p>\n

In particular, the OIServers<\/strong> include industrial drivers that allow communication<\/strong> downstream with the main manufacturers of industrial devices and upstream with IoT platforms through the MQTT protocol.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, Prometheus<\/strong><\/a> has recently been launched on the market as the industry’s first universal configuration solution that defines, programs and documents its control code in all control systems from the HMI to its PLCs and I\/O.<\/span><\/p>\n

The layer 3,<\/strong> the one of \u201cProcessing and Compression\u201d<\/strong> is par excellence, the layer in which Wonderware<\/strong> has traditionally positioned itself. Solutions such as System Platform<\/strong><\/a>, the MES\/MOM suite<\/strong><\/a> (Operations<\/a>, Performance<\/a>, InBatch<\/a>, Recipe Manager<\/a><\/strong>), or the new maintenance management solutions (Avantis PRO<\/strong>), allow converting data into valuable and contextualized information that can then be used functionally by the solutions located in the upper layers. <\/span><\/p>\n

All processed and compressed information can be stored. In layer 4<\/strong> of \u201cPersistence and Storage\u201d<\/strong>, the Historian<\/strong><\/a> solution from Wonderware<\/strong> provides the possibility of consolidating all data for later exploitation. Historian<\/strong><\/a> can be deployed taking into account different historization needs, architectures and\/or deployment models. <\/span><\/p>\n

In layer 4<\/strong>, it is also worth mentioning the eDNA solution<\/strong><\/a>, used mainly in continuous process industries that generate and collect massive amounts of data.<\/span><\/p>\n

In layers 5 and 6<\/strong>, Wonderware<\/strong> again provides specific solutions that allow easy exploitation of the information collected in the lower layers.<\/span><\/p>\n

In layer 5 of Intelligence and Prediction<\/strong>, the predictive maintenance solutions (Avantis PRISM<\/strong>) or real-time information management solutions such as Historian Client<\/a>, Dream Report<\/a>, SmartGlance<\/a>, OnLine InSight<\/a> or Wonderware Intelligence<\/a><\/strong> stand out. The latter focused on standardizing and homogenizing data extraction, loading, transformation, contextualization and analysis processes. The approach of this solution is based on the traditional concept of Business Intelligence (BI)<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, in layer 6<\/strong> of Application and Integration<\/strong>, solutions such as Wonderware Enterprise Integrator<\/a> or Skelta BPM<\/a><\/strong> help create a \u201csingle system\u201d facilitating integration between transactional systems and real-time systems (vertical integration) and horizontal integration between the real-time systems themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n

In parallel, solutions such as Line Performance Suite<\/strong><\/a> or GISize!<\/a> <\/strong>are presented as specific applications of Wonderware Spain<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Line Performance Suite facilitates the real-time analysis and management of the productivity of industrial environments (factory, area, line, machines, systems, etc.).
