An example of this is the step the company has taken towards the digitalization of water, a vital resource that faces a growing scarcity. <\/p>\n<h4>Innovations with a Taste of the Future: New Water Management Model<\/h4>\n<p>In recent years, ACCIONA has transformed its water management model to face global challenges such as climate change and pollution. And it has done so based on: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The implementation of the <strong>Water Control Center (CECOA)<\/strong>, a technological hub that integrates equipment, data and advanced analysis to optimize processes. This center, which includes <strong>secure connectivity, information standardization<\/strong> and <strong>artificial intelligence algorithms<\/strong>, allowed the realization of remote commissioning during the pandemic, such as the Al-Khobar plant in Saudi Arabia. <\/li>\n<li>Advanced digital tools such as <strong>AVEVA<\/strong> <strong>System<\/strong> <strong>Platform<\/strong>, which provides a collaborative base for continuous operations; <strong>AVEVA Historian<\/strong>, which contextualizes historical data and combines it with real-time analysis; and <strong>CONNECT<\/strong> DataServices together with Advanced Analytics, which predict behaviors, optimize operating points and facilitate informed decision making.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Virtual meters and predictive models<\/strong>: technologies such as Machine Learning to estimate parameters that cannot be measured directly. At the Arucas plant (Gran Canaria), high-pressure pumps were optimized, achieving energy savings of 4.6% and an increase in production capacity <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of 16 m\u00b3 per hour.<\/span> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Next Steps: Plant Management System (P.M.S)<\/h4>\n<p>ACCIONA will continue with its technological evolution with the implementation of the P.M.S, a system <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">developed for the <strong>advanced management of desalination plants<\/strong>.
