It controls more than 2 million square kilometers of airspace, and serves two million flights each year with more than 250 million people. <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As it is such a large operator,<\/span> it needs constant modernization<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  of its equipment to meet the minimum expected standards of safety and competence in the sector. Therefore, ENAIRE&#8217;s objective was clear: <strong>to completely renew the infrastructure of its services, adopting the<\/strong>  <\/span><strong>advanced VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) technology.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Expansion of the Monitoring System<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To achieve the initial objectives, the ORION system was modified and expanded, integrating the management of the gateways<\/span><b> (AVEVA System Platform, KepServer)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the supervision<\/span><b> (AVEVA Supervisory Client)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and the processing of historical records<\/span><b> (AVEVA Historian)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the same application.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Results that are at Least Successful<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This project represented an<\/span> <b>undeniable improvement in communication between control centers and aircraft<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  and placed ENAIRE at the forefront of aeronautical technology in the digital age.
