KEPServerEX: breaking down IIoT communications

Currently, any article about the industrial world seems like a poorly combined alphabet soup: IoT, OPC, IIoT, DDS, I4.0, JSON, MQTT, REST… and the list goes on and on.

This document aims to clarify, as much as possible, a layer as simple, but in turn as critical, as communications in the industry of today and tomorrow.

These are its sections:

• Interoperability: the unquestionable dogma.
• Protocols: OPC UA, HTTP (REST), MQTT, AMQP, CoAP.
• KEPServerEX: the IIoT hub.

With KEPServerEX, it is possible to connect all my data from factory controllers, from the same software and without the need for third-party elements, not only to conventional management tools, but also to the new IIoT.
