Our IO modules are designed for all applications in the fields of building automation, industrial automation, and infrastructure. With a size of 4/8 or 12MU depending on the total number of built-in I/Os, these IO modules fit in any distribution cabinet. We only offer IO modules suitable for the 45 mm cut of a standard electrical cabinet.

Basically, we deliver two versions of each IO module: one with a built-in RS485 interface with MODBUS/RTU slave protocol and another with an Ethernet interface and MODBUS/TCP protocol. All IO modules also support the ASCII protocol to use the IOs with a media control system or with an IoT controller using Node-RED, NodeJs, or Python. The versions with Ethernet support, in addition to the MODBUS/TCP Server protocol, also support the MODBUS/RTU protocol via Ethernet. All our modules have a wide range power supply of 12-48 VDC.

How are they configured?

Use our free RESIConfigurator software to parameterize and test our IO modules. We deliver a complete list of ASCII commands and a MODBUS register table with a detailed explanation for each product.

In this product group

you will find all our IO modules with digital inputs, digital outputs, and universal analog inputs or outputs. Our flagship IO modules offer versatile universal analog inputs or outputs. You can select a different analog I/O function for each channel: analog input (0/2-10 V or 0/4-20 mA) or analog output (0/2-10 V or 0/4-20 mA), resistance input (0-1 MOhm), temperature sensor input PT100, PT1000 or NI1000-DIN43760 or digital input for dry contact or 24Vdc. Our digital inputs are designed for use with DC signals up to 48 Vdc. Our digital outputs are for DC signals up to 30V. All our IO modules offer output groups with their own power supply. So you can combine, for example, 12Vdc outputs with 24Vdc outputs in one module. Our IO modules with a maximum output current of 700 mA per channel offer extensive diagnostic functions. They detect thermal overload, short circuit, open cable, overcurrent situations. The outputs are protected against direct access. Our RESI-Lxxx products offer only a maximum output current of 350 mA per channel and not as much diagnostic information, but they are more economical.
