The DNA of bnergy.on
The Smart Gateway is the central hardware component in the Bnergy.on architecture. It acts as the link node between field IoT devices (sensors, actuators, counters, etc.) and management systems (cloud, SCADA, BMS).
Designed with Edge Computing capabilities, it allows not only to collect data in real time, but also to process it locally, apply control logic and reduce cloud dependence. This improves efficiency, reduces latency and allows for faster response in critical environments.
It is compatible with multiple communication protocols (LoRaWAN, WiFi, Ethernet and 4G) and easily integrates with third-party systems using industrial standards such as MQTT, Modbus and BACnet.

The CRD Service (Remote Connectivity and Diagnostics) provides a reliable multi-operator cellular connection for your deployed gateways, along with secure remote access via managed VPN.
This service enables centralized monitoring and management of your IoT infrastructure, facilitating the maintenance, updating and diagnosis of each device without the need for physical displacement. Ideal for distributed and difficult to access environments.
Fully integrated into our Smart Gateway, the bnergy.on IoT management platform offers the following functionalities:
- Real-time access and visualization of data from sensors connected to the LoRaWAN network.
- Simple incorporation of new sensors to the network.
- Sending data to other IoT platforms through the MQTT protocol, or to facility management systems (such as BMS, SCADA, EMS) through the BACnet protocol.
- Configuration of logical rules of the type if-then-else.
- Generation of alarms based on the information collected by the sensor system.
