The first digital twin of a European building has been developed with Wonderware technology
TECNALIA is the first private center for Applied Research and Technological development in Spain, and KUBIK, the first European building that is capable of reflecting in real time any change that occurs in its interiors, is its commitment as an experimental facility for the development of concepts, products and systems for improving energy efficiency in buildings and improving user comfort, safety and health.
Located in the Bizkaia Science and Technology Park, and developed by Tecnalia with Wonderware technology, this experimental building allows the development of new management and maintenance concepts, oriented towards energy efficiency, safety (fires, theft…) and comfort.
To control and monitor the management of this building from Wonderware, we have contributed to developing the Digital Twin Platform of the Kubik Building, based on a digital twin that acts as a virtual representation of both the structural information of the property and the different facilities and processes of the same. The objective of this platform is the monitoring and control of Buildings using Machine Learning techniques that allow preventive and prescriptive control of the same while optimizing its use.

The technology deployed for the development of the BIM module of this project is based on GISIZE, our standard infrastructure management interface for Wonderware:
