This July, Refresh Yourself with Cogent DataHub V11!
From this July, you can now take advantage of version 11 of Cogent DataHub with new functionalities and exciting improvements.
Who said that vigilance decreased in the summer? Like a breath of fresh air, Cogent DataHub version 11 has arrived this July, and it hasn’t come alone: the update incorporates renewed functionalities that will improve your overall experience with the solution:
Even more secure than previous versions. Why?
Thanks to the major new features incorporated, including:
- User account import: you can now import user accounts from a local Windows machine or an external LDAP server.
- Multi-factor authentication (MFA): in addition, the new version adds the option to authenticate users via multi-factor authentication, including time-based one-time passwords (TOTP).
- Differentiation of access permissions: and yes, V11 also allows you to differentiate user access permissions according to the source and connection protocol (for example, IP address, CIDR).
- Custom roles and permission sets: finally, the update brings with it the option to define and assign permissions in a granular and specific way, according to the needs and functions of users within the application.

Improvements in WebView
Designed to optimize the management and editing of pages:
- Opening multiple pages in edit mode: you can open multiple pages in edit mode and quickly switch from one to another in execution mode, thanks to an improved page handling algorithm.
- Page viewer control: with which to embed multiple pages in one.
- Search, selection, and editing of controls: the new version allows you to do it in bulk and more efficiently.
- Line segment control: to draw lines and arrows on the page.
- New script editor: which provides a more intuitive coding environment with syntax highlighting and search/replace.
More Highlighted Features
- Expansion of integration and communication capabilities, based on the incorporation of new features for the MQTT server and client, including support for Sparkplug 3 and MQTT V5.
- Additional historian connections: Apache Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, OPC Classic HDA, ODBC support (with connection to virtually any SQL database) and Store and Forward (using data sources other than InfluxDB).
- Data Diode Mode: the new Data Diode mode configures DataHub tunnels to immediately discard all incoming data without processing, also allowing tunnels to pass through any data diode hardware that supports TCP emulation.
- Improvements in OPC DA client connections: DataHub’s OPC DA server mode will then provide OPC items to clients without the assigned domain name prefix, simplifying integration and use.

I am a Cogent DataHub customer. How do I get the update?
If you are using Versions 8, 9, or 10, you will need upgrade licenses to migrate to Version 11. If you have a technical support service contract, you have free updates.
We just need you to tell us the license codes you want to update.
Please note that the life cycle of versions 8 and 9 will end in January 2025; from then on, they will no longer be able to be updated or receive technical support.
What if I’m not a Customer?
If you do not yet have the solution and would like to test its functionalities, download the demo and start experimenting with the solution. If, on the other hand, you prefer to receive more information about Cogent DataHub for the time being, let us know.
