Partner:
Project objectives
  • Optimize water consumption in the irrigation of green areas,
  • Minimize the personnel and material resources used.
  • Unattended irrigation.
  • Inhibition of irrigation by rain gauge signal and humidity sensor.
  • Early leak detection.
Challenges
  • Difficult radio communications due to the urban environment.
  • Coverage limitations due to buildings.
  • Assembly of remotes in an aggressive environment: Manhole under the ground.
Result
  • City of approximately 60,000 inhabitants with automated irrigation.
  • Water saving of 25% compared to before remote control.

  • Optimization of resources in irrigation tasks
Solutions and products used
  • System Platform

ICR received an order from the Agriculture Service of the Motril City Council to supply, on a “turnkey” basis, the comprehensive Remote Control System for the centralized control of the irrigation network of parks and gardens. The Hydrobus Remote Control System was chosen for this purpose.

This Project is based on the installation and commissioning of a centralized Remote Control System based on SCADA with IAS Architecture for the remote management of the irrigation network of parks and gardens of the city of Motril, located on the Tropical Coast of Granada.

A centralized Remote Control System is installed with remote terminals for the control of irrigation hydrants via radio in the UHF 868 MHz band, Concentrator Units acting as UHF 868 to UHF 406 MHz communication gateways, Communications Front-end in the Control Center, and SCADA Application for irrigation control and supervision.
