Petroleum Oil & Gas España S.A. is a company 100% owned by Naturgy. Dedicated to the exploration and production of hydrocarbons in Spain, it is one of the few national companies specialized in the Oil&Gas sector with more than 30 years of experience. Its main function as an operator focuses on two specific activities:
- Regulated underground storage of natural gas in depleted reservoirs.
- Production of natural gas from operating reservoirs.
The set of sites was located within a radius of 100 kilometers around the control center, which hindered the logistics of operations and data acquisition. In addition, there were different graphical interfaces installed on tablets, field HMIs, or the control room, each with different commercial solutions and users.
Digitalized and Unified Control Center
The project centralized all the information in a single repository and unified the way of working in the company, simplifying and optimizing operations and maintenance management. The integrated systems were electrical installations, process instrumentation, different external equipment, communication links, hyperconverged infrastructure, access controls, and fire protection systems.
