- An advanced solution to smart monitor and control the tunnels was needed to include all the tunnel assets such as lighting, smart traffic lights, variable message panels, ventilation systems, and more.
Challenges
Result
GISIZE Geospatial module was used together with Intouch OMI to get a geographical representation of the assets within the tunnel, allowing the operator to view, access, and control them easily.
Finally, GISIZE Scheduler & Sequencer module was used to allow the creation of automatic plans directly by the tunnel operator.
Barcelona, following its process of becoming a smart city of reference, has an ongoing project to renew the control systems of the city’s interurban tunnels.
