The Milesight WS302-868M is a compact and advanced LoRaWAN® sensor for accurately measuring sound levels indoors or outdoors using an integrated microphone capable of detecting levels between 30 and 120 dBA with an accuracy of ± 3 dB and a resolution of 0.1 dB. It simultaneously provides current sound pressure (SPL), equivalent continuous level (Leq), and maximum (Lmax) values while allowing selection between A, C weightings, or a fast measurement depending on the environment, making it versatile for quiet or noisy spaces. It communicates wirelessly via LoRaWAN® Class A with broad compatibility across multiple bands and uses an internal antenna to transmit data up to several kilometers. Integrated with standard gateways and the Milesight Cloud platform, it includes easy NFC configuration with the ToolBox app, a physical power/restart button, and an LED indicator that alerts in case of noise level thresholds being exceeded. It operates on two replaceable ER14505 Li-SOCl₂ batteries that guarantee more than 4 years of autonomy with transmissions every 10 minutes under normal conditions. Despite its compact design, it is protected against dust and moderate conditions and can be installed on flat surfaces with 3M double-sided tape or screws, making it an ideal device for continuous noise monitoring in environments such as offices, hotels, hospitals, classrooms, smart cities, or critical-use buildings where acoustic quality is essential.
