Valid data sources include:
- AVEVA InTouch HMI.
- AVEVA Historian (Tier 1, stand-alone on-premises).
- Wonderware Historian SDK that can be leveraged to support the Internet of Things (IoT).
- AVEVA System Platform through Wonderware Historian Tier 1 on-premises.
You can send data to AVEVA Insight from the following types of data sources:
- HMI for real-time data acquisition.
- Historians for previous data acquisition.
- CSV files via AVEVA Historian Tier 1 on-premises and the “quick upload” function.
- Custom data sources through our Historian SDK.
- Direct submission to our managed and secure APIs.
AVEVA InSight supports data visualization for:
- Smart watches such as Apple Watch and Android Wear compatible devices.
- Mobile phones such as iPhone and Android.
- Large tablets and mobile phones, such as the Samsung Galaxy Note.
- Desktop PCs and laptops using any modern HTML5 browser, such as Chrome, Safari, Edge, and IE11.
- Large screens such as a projection screen or HDMI TV (via smart browser, mobile devices with projection – e.g. iOS AirPlay or replication software – including Microsoft Xbox One).
AVEVA InSight allows you to:
- Share your data with any other employee in your organization or with anyone else through a secure but public URL.
- Incorporate your data and partial visualization content from the AVEVA InSight portal directly into your company or corporate portal (e.g., Sharepoint or custom).
- Download your data to a CSV file for further analysis in Excel or similar tools.
- Share to Mobile AVEVA Insight includes a mobile app to access information directly without the need for a browser.
- Save your configured views or content in your personal collection for later consultation.
- Export your data directly from our APIs to the well-known ODATA protocol, which supports clients such as Microsoft Excel included in Office 365 or Microsoft’s Power BI business intelligence tools.
