Facility Management

The concept of Facility Management began to gain traction in companies in the 1960s, generally understood as a new, more intelligent way of managing facilities. In other words, it was proposed as a more integrated and strategic approach (compared to those applied up to that point) for the administration of assets and services associated with the business environment.

As expected, the processes and elements that shape it have been changing as the goals evolve: if in its beginnings they focused on the integration of services, optimization of space, preventive maintenance, and operational efficiency, the years have expanded these practices to include advanced technologies (Smart Buildings), more sustainable approaches, and a greater user experience.
