Creating Smart Cities

Stop for a moment and take a look around you. You are in the middle of one of the great avenues of the city where you live, you have left home early and are heading to a work meeting.

In your hand you have your smartphone, on which you are consulting the screen to orient yourself on the map. When you look up, you see a large cloud of data emerging from different devices. Data from a runner that is sent to their smart watch to count the frequency and duration of each step. A waste container emits information about its filling level to improve the collection time. Data from telephone conversations via Skype of citizens crossing the crosswalk is crossed. Vehicle traffic generates information packets that allow mobility in the city to be ordered from the control center of your City Council. A citizen accesses bus line 81 and pays by bringing their phone close to the device next to the driver. The two office towers that you have right in front of you emit large amounts of data that are directed to the antenna that crowns a mountain near the city. Sensors in the green area you are passing through activate the irrigation system and the sprinklers start up.

The rapid evolution and development of all these technologies can facilitate and improve the quality of life in our cities. We are at a time when we have the tools and services to face the challenges facing our cities.

Creating Smart Cities by Logitek is our contribution to the design and deployment of the smart city.
