The LKRemote solution family was initially designed to control unattended facilities that are difficult to access or in environments with very demanding environmental conditions. However, it has also emerged as an ideal tool for data center control. The reason is that, although the environment is so different, its features ensure control of all systems within a Data Center.
Keep in mind that in a data center, it is critical to maintain control of:
• Electrical panels and UPS systems
• Air conditioning and environmental control systems
• Fire and flood protection system
• Access control and CCTV systems
• Network infrastructure

-Flexibility
The LKRemote family allows any type of project to be carried out. The fact that it can be a modular solution allows controlling any type of data center, from the simplest to those composed of hundreds of server racks.
Similarly, the communication capacity it has downstream and upstream (electrical I/Os, SNMP, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, OPC UA, MQTT, …) allows it to concentrate and communicate all the systems mentioned above, either directly or through distributed periphery. Similarly, it is capable of reporting to one or more superior supervision systems, whether they are SCADAs, IoT platforms, maintenance programs, or historians.

-Robustness
There are few more critical environments than a data center; its correct operation is critical for a company, facility, or even infrastructure. Therefore, the control tool used must be reliable.
As mentioned at the beginning, LKRemotes were designed to work in unattended environments, hence their high reliability. Not only do they have a useful life of more than 20 years with an MTBF of more than 15 years, but if this were not enough, they have the possibility of being installed with double CPUs, providing double redundancy in the event of element failure, since they monitor each other to know if they are working correctly.
-Control
Undoubtedly, LKRemote allows the local and remote control necessary in a data center. To begin with, its programming allows it to adapt to any type of particularization in the control, either because it has more elements than those mentioned or because a specific action logic is desired.
On the other hand, the fact that LKRemote has an embedded Webserver allows both installing HMIs in the data center to know the current status of the installation and consulting it remotely. With this, there is a simple way to interact with the installation controller without always involving the engineering team.
In addition, LKRemote has a very useful particularization, it not only ensures performing a contraction in the face of a specific problem according to its programmed logic, but it also has automatic alarm and event management to notify whoever corresponds in the face of a specific situation – activation of the fire protection system, an entry to the data center outside the programmed hours, etc. -. In this way, there is certainty that the supervision or maintenance team will be informed of everything that requires a notification. The notice comes directly from the LKRemote and is directed to whoever corresponds – to a superior system through a PUSH protocol or to a user through SMS or email, for example -, decreasing response times.
