New ztCEdge Solution for Extreme Availability.
Introducing our new solution aligned with the paradigms of Fog and Edge computing and the need for high availability in applications at the machine or plant level.
Are you clear on how to solve the problem of having Fog and Edge nodes in high availability and capable of operating in aggressive environments for the execution of field data processing applications, contextualization and local data historization, and runtime control logic?
I have written this post to explain how the ztCEdge solution solves the problem I mentioned.
ztCEdge is a solution that is aligned with the paradigm of Fog and Edge computing and the need for high availability in applications at the machine or plant level.
What makes ztCEdge aligned with this paradigm?
Basically, Edge Computing aims to go a step further in localized processing and focuses on data sources. The concept suggests that instead of performing most of the processing on a centralized server, each device in the network plays its own role in the processing of information. Each element of the chain must be able to determine what information should be stored locally and what needs to be sent to servers or applications in the cloud for later use.
The Edge Computing concept simplifies the communication chain and reduces potential points of failure by connecting physical resources to an intelligent and highly available PAC such as the ztCEdge, which is capable of hosting applications that analyze and process data from field elements while also being able to host applications that execute system control program logic. In turn, these applications residing in the ztCEdge can be capable of contextualizing data at a low level and determining what data should be stored locally or what should be sent to the cloud for further analysis.
The known problem of this paradigm in industrial or infrastructure environments is to obtain equipment that acts as intelligent PACs and that can develop all the necessary functions that have been mentioned above, but offering a high degree of availability, resistance to adverse environmental conditions, and a low level of configuration and maintenance, which avoids the need to have personnel with very advanced IT knowledge to start up and maintain the system. For that reason, I present to you ztCEdge, which is capable of achieving this by offering, in a simple and robust way and minimizing deployment and maintenance time, a high availability solution for the execution of field data processing applications, contextualization and local historization of these data, and runtime control logic. The purpose is to securely and readily host the applications that must be executed in the field or at the machine level.
And how does ztCEdge achieve all this?
