The new version 5.4 of OPC Router is now available! The solution reappears with a new version to continue advancing in our mission to achieve more efficient, secure, and transparent industrial data communication. This update introduces key improvements that enhance the user experience. These are the most outstanding:
Automatic Versioning and Project Synchronization
The new version incorporates automatic versioning, which saves each project state as a snapshot. Thus, it is possible to:
- Access previous versions.
- Undo changes.
- Easily restore incorrect configurations.
A particularly useful feature in complex projects with multiple developers or critical systems that require rapid recovery.
In addition, automatic synchronization between redundant OPC Routers has been added. In this way, you can detect differences between systems and automatically synchronize project versions. Once a configuration has been verified, it can be transferred to the redundant system without manual intervention, ensuring operational consistency and avoiding version conflicts.

Business Functions for DevOps and CI/CD
In addition, the new version makes OPC Router even more powerful for teams that apply DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices. New Dashboards for Advanced Monitoring
Version 5.4 extends the connection diagnostic system with a new functionality specific to plugins. From now on, you can follow in detail the status, use, and performance of each plugin, thanks to plugin status monitoring, real-time metrics on usage and transfers, and optimized error analysis to detect bottlenecks instantly.
Improved Security: Secure Redundancy and Password Management
Communication between redundant OPC Routers is now encrypted end-to-end and password-protected. In addition, HTTPS protection is added to prevent unauthorized access.
Passwords are stored encrypted and managed centrally, eliminating the risk of them ending up in version control systems.

OPC UA Historical Access
With 5.4, you can access not only real-time values, but also historical data with time stamps from OPC servers that support HA (Historical Access), allowing for deeper analysis and long-term improvements.
Batch Read
Likewise, the update incorporates a new Batch Read TO function, which allows the use of markers such as line [nº] or machine [nº] in repetitive data structures, reducing manual work and speeding up configuration.
Multiple Read (OPC Read Multiple TO)
Similarly, it is now possible to read entire directories and subfolders from an OPC server in a single operation, applying filters such as “temperature values only” or excluding certain data.
