The most Anticipated and Surprising Matcongress: the Becolve Digital Era Begins
The first day of matcongress 22 was held today at the Hotel Barceló-Sevilla and will conclude tomorrow, November 4.
Matcongress 2022 was finally held at the Hotel Barceló-Sevilla on November 3 and 4. With more than a year’s delay from the initial date, but with even more desire to enjoy the experience. And the truth is that it has exceeded expectations both for how the event was in itself and for the important news that was revealed.

Wonderware Iberia is Now Becolve Digital | AVEVA Select Iberia
Jordi Rey made an important announcement during the initial presentation. Logitek, the leading company in Spain and Portugal for Wonderware technology, is changing its name to Becolve Digital, which signifies a new stage of evolution and adaptation to the new times and what is, beyond the name, a new beginning for a promising future.
In addition, the Wonderware solutions portfolio is also changing its name and is being marketed under the AVEVA brand. From this month of November Becolve Digital is AVEVA Select for Iberia, being the exclusive interlocutor for the industrial and infrastructure markets for Spain and Portugal.

After this presentation and with this exciting news, the rest of the presentations in the plenary hall have been given. Eugeni Del Pinto, Sales Director, has spoken to us about the reference architecture that is proposed to try to address digital transformation in a transversal way, in other words, “the building from the ground floor to the roof”.

John Krajewsky, Vice President Of Product Management at AVEVA, has shown us an overview of what the guidelines for operations management for industry and infrastructure will be in the next 25 years. Especially interesting was his contribution of “a day in my life”, about what happens during a day in an industrial plant.

Then it was the turn of the metaverse, by Julio Juan Prieto, Director of Industry X at Accenture Spain, who told us how the industrial sector can take advantage of it, how it can be integrated, and how new strategies can be built to operate in the metaverse. The industrial metaverse is already here.

And to conclude the morning session in the plenary hall, we had with us Sergi Valls, IT Director of Laboratorios Hipra. Sergi He told us about all the transformative and digital initiatives that are helping Hipra to be a benchmark in the production of vaccines for animal health, …and to be the first Spanish company to develop a vaccine against COVID19. His reflection was interesting when he stated that “…in technology we do not want to be early adopters, we are committed to proven tools. Early adopters are like the little birds that were taken to the mines to see what was happening.”

After a meal all together in the hotel itself, the afternoon session had two focuses of attention: On the one hand, the Expo Zone and on the other, the Quality Corner.
The Expo Zone has always been one of the main focuses of attention of matcongress, we could even say that it has become one of its hallmarks. Our partners and collaborators have had the opportunity to show and demonstrate their main novelties and solutions to all attendees. An afternoon full of small meetings, presentations and demonstrations that we are sure will be fruitful for all parties.
At the same time, at one of the ends of the Expo Zone, the Quality Corner, where ProcessVue, Aetech, SPIN, Ultimo, HMS, Stratus, Getronics and Kepware talks were taking place, had 15 minutes each to show different success stories to the entire audience.

The second day of matcongress 22 began with the good taste of the end of the previous day with the guided tour of the Alcázar of Seville, and the gala dinner with the performance at the end of Leo Harlem, as funny as expected.
In addition, some brave people commanded by our colleague Néstor Carrasco, had gotten up early to take a running trip around the Isla de La Cartuja. Without a doubt, a good prelude to start the day active and awake for another intense morning.

Thus, we faced a second day in which 4 different tracks coincided temporarily in 4 different rooms: Industrial Strategies, Industrial Technology, Solutions for digital transformation and the parallel event «Conectados Road Show» on industrial communications.

Prior to the final talk, Óscar Perelló, together with the Becolve Tech Support team, explained some key ideas for achieving quality support, and clients such as Canaragua shared their experience with the technical support service.

And as a final guest, Fernando Trías de Bes, whose breadth of vision and experience focused on the day-to-day of our sector was of great interest. All the reflections he made during his presentation are to be noted and kept well in mind.

The closing of the congress, of course, corresponded to Jordi Rey who, after thanking all the attendees, recalled the novelties in the Wonderware and AVEVA ecosystem with the change of name from Logitek to Becolve Digital.
