We are Advancing Wonderware News for this 2020

The Wonderware Ignite 2020 partner event served as a presentation of all the new features that Wonderware has launched on the market for this 2020.

On April 30 and May 1, Wonderware Iberia attended the virtual event Ignite 2020, the global meeting of Wonderware, an enriching digital experience to internally share all the Wonderware news for this 2020.

We detail all these novelties in this post, but not before giving some brushstrokes of the strategic approach that serves as context to the new solutions and products.

What is our Edge to Enterprise Strategy?

The novelties that we launched this 2020 are a manifestation of our Edge-to-Enterprise strategy. This strategy is not based on individual products, but on the value and all the potential of our portfolio, a broad vision that will allow us to position ourselves in a new level of connected operations for decision making and real-time optimization.

Edge to Enterprise is the first industrial strategy to launch a “portfolio of solutions as a service” to the market. Currently we are the only industrial software provider capable of offering these Edge to Enterprise operations. We propose a new approach in an area where customers need flexibility to combine our solutions into a highly personalized and scalable system.

This unparalleled level of flexibility and personalization is possible through our Wonderware Flex subscription service, where any customer, of any size, with all the depth and breadth of the Wonderware portfolio, can configure their annual subscription.

The new MQTT connectivity, the potential of the cloud and the experiences of mobile users allow a seamless end-to-end workflow, achieving hybrid IIoT projects (on-premise and in the cloud). Our Wonderware Connect solution has been expanded to support cloud development and visualization, and as a novelty in 2020: cloud storage of Industrial Graphics for all our HMI SCADA solutions. In this way, Wonderware is committed to business standardization and operational efficiency through sites that use multiple Wonderware visualization products.

Visualization of Alarms Detected Externally (in PLC for Example).

  • Alarm conditions that have been detected within a PLC can now be visualized in the Historical Trends App or the Alarms App. To achieve this, the ability to configure a boolean attribute within the object editor as an alarm input for a State Alarm has been added. This allows trending tools (such as Historian Web Client / or Insight Local) to correctly visualize alarms that have been detected externally.
