Ensure monitoring of the CIC's own elements -motors, boilers, compressors, electrical system and auxiliary equipment-, and also, monitor the Regulation and Measurement Stations (RMS) located at the consumption point of CAT customers.

Challenges

Implement a unique control architecture that allows monitoring for different types of users, that guarantees full compliance with environmental regulations and that allows installed companies to significantly reduce their production costs.
Wonderware was the answer to all these requirements.

Result

Wonderware technology has allowed the Society for the Promotion of Investments and Infrastructure of Navarra to offer the agri-food companies of the regional community a unique industrial park in which energy consumption costs are reduced by around 15% thanks to the correct management of resources.

The Tudela Agri-food City is an initiative of the Society for the Promotion of Investments and Infrastructure of Navarra, a public-private consortium for the economic revitalization of the regional community.

Built in 2007 and launched at the end of 2008, this facility is part of the promotion and development projects of productive infrastructures of a strategic nature so that the companies of Navarra can be more competitive.

Specifically, the Agri-food City of Tudela, through the Central de Infraestructuras Comunes (CIC), offers a range of services of a markedly technological nature and with a high degree of innovation to companies in the agri-food sector, allowing them to improve their production processes and fully respond to the requirements of quality and environmental impact with minimal cost and with total guarantees.

Luis Monzón, Operations Director. Agri-food City of Tudela Wonderware facilitates our access to all energy consumption information in a totally flexible way. In an installation like this, correct automation and parameterization of the variables is a key issue to guarantee the quality of production and compliance with environmental regulations.
