Dragonfly and Sandworm: malware in SCADA environments. Analysis and proposed countermeasures

On Friday, November 14, 2014, from 11:00 to 11:45 AM, Fernando Sevillano will give the webinar "Dragonfly and Sandworm: malware in SCADA environments. Analysis and proposed countermeasures"

Following the appearance of Stuxnet in 2010, different types of malware have emerged that seek to exploit vulnerabilities associated with OT environments and, in particular, SCADA systems. Among them are Dragonfly and Sandworm. The former initially affected facilities in the electrical sector, but it has recently been discovered how the pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and water sectors are also targets of this malware.

On the other hand, Sandworm began its attacks by targeting NATO facilities. Now in October 2014, it has been discovered how it exploits vulnerabilities associated with General Electric’s CIMPLICITY solution.
