EGGT – Unique Intelligent System

Management system, digital registry, and integration of industrial control systems
Partner:
Project objectives
Sector:
Energy
  • Digitize manual form parameters to allow data extraction for reporting to the administration and accounting management of products subject to Special Taxes in the SILICE portal.
  • Integrate plant information into a single repository for both the cogeneration machine and the SCADA WinCC system.
  • Store variables that facilitate the consultation of historical data to define control strategies for the biological process.
Challenges
  • There were several data sources that were not linked or contextualized, which made unification into a single repository a complex task.
  • Manufacturers of electrical generation and desulfurization machinery are often reluctant to allow access to the information generated by their equipment.
  • The manual data capture of rounds and laboratory provided key information, but it had to be standardized in both format and form of registration to allow unification with the rest of the information.
Result
  • Unique repository of documentary information that allows, in addition to the extraction of regulatory information, to expand the biological knowledge of the process.
  • Reduction of conversion and registration times and minimization of errors that cause information losses, thanks to the standardization of information captured manually.
  • Obtaining reliable plant histories that allow users to monitor and enhance the value of the information.
Solutions and products used

Energy Green Gas Tineo (EGGT) is a biotechnology company that transforms the way organic waste is managed through the production of renewable energy and biofuels.

As a leader in organic waste management, EGGT has efficient plants that reduce environmental impacts. Through anaerobic digestion of organic waste from industries and agriculture, they generate energy powered by the biogas produced. In the process, less than 15% of the electrical energy generated is self-consumed, exporting the remaining 85% of it to the electrical grid. In addition, as a subprocess, the heat flows of the process are effectively recovered, avoiding the need to resort to external thermal energy.

Knowing the importance of all processes going as planned, considering EGGT’s commitment to innovation and global sustainability, Intermark implemented a new management system, digital registry, and integration of industrial control systems in the company.
