Success story
HVC Groep – Waste Management
- Provide an overview of all waste collection assets (fleet and containers) and related spare parts management, which was previously non-existent.
- Implement efficient management of assets and work orders, spare parts, and a graphic planner for asset replacement.
- Organization merged from eight distinct entities.
- Ununified processes, which hindered the desired overview.
- Standardization of processes leading to an overview of fleet, asset, and item consumption.
- Efficient execution of work through graphic planners and mobile work.
- Centralized cost control and well-founded support for investment projects.
HVC is a raw materials and energy company, owned by 44 municipalities and 6 water boards. Its construction division is responsible for the maintenance and collection of vehicles, trucks, and containers on the street, as well as containers located in homes.
Before the arrival of IFS Ultimo, one of the biggest challenges for the business group was the great diversity of processes and standards it encompassed: each former location of the municipal facilities had its own. In addition, the diversity of locations made it difficult to gain visibility into the consumption of items and contracts with suppliers.
The implementation of IFS Ultimo, which included integration with track & trace (tracking and locating) and the EAM (technical assets) and fleet management modules, led to more informed decision-making (greater cost control, more visibility of maintenance, and more effective work orders). It also established a solid foundation for future investments and opportunities.
