Cray Valley is a company that is part of the multinational energy company Total, a world leader in the production of alkyd resins, acrylics and emulsions offered to the market. Its products are used daily in multiple sectors such as construction, the chemical industry of paints, varnishes and adhesives, and the automotive and naval industries.
With a long history behind it, the engineering management of the Mollet del Vallès factory set out to update the production monitoring and control system of the plant, specifically, that dedicated to the manufacture of alkyd resins.
Although it might sound like a simple and uncomplicated project, it was quite the opposite: large stoppages could not be allowed during the update, as that would mean an absolute disaster for their expected production levels. In addition, the new solution required dealing with a closed technology with which making changes was practically impossible. A major challenge, at the very least, which we at Becolve Digital accepted with great enthusiasm.
