Next to the Ghent-Ternuzen canal (Belgium) stands the second largest lubricant factory in Europe, Total Ertvelde. The company supplies lubricants to various market segments, such as automotive, industrial, and marine.
The factory is automated on a large scale and is continuously updated, under the supervision of complying with the safety standards of the sector. It is for this last point that Total Ertvelde turned to IFS Ultimo.
All aspects of safety were and continue to be important to the company and its staff, firmly committed to safety, health and environment (HSE). During the search for a new maintenance management system, the integration of maintenance and safety became a relevant criterion to take into account (previously, Total Ertvelde used the PM module of SAP, with Excel files and printed documents).
